Objectives

To ensure product and process readiness during New Product Introduction (NPI) and production transition by establishing robust manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, maintaining product quality and achieving on-time delivery through continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product specifications to ensure product and process readiness.
• Develop build documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Validate product configurations and manufacturing processes during pilot builds and NPI activities.
• Lead PFMEA, Control Plan and 4M1E readiness to minimise process risks and ensure smooth production transitions.
• Monitor and analyse production performance, including labour hours, first-pass yield (FPY) and cycle time.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing, to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical and process-related issues to minimise production disruptions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness, process efficiency and on-time delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment build, process engineering or system integration.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring and system integration testing.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, 4M1E and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with NPI, pilot builds, manufacturing process validation and production readiness.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to analyse production data and drive continuous process improvements.
• Good communication, interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, hands-on and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
