Roles & Responsibilities

Position Summary

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team to build, automate, deploy, and maintain modern application and infrastructure platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with software developers, infrastructure engineers, and security teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure service delivery through DevOps and GitOps practices.

This role is suitable for candidates with a software development background who are interested in cloud-native technologies, automation, and platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support platform services using GitOps methodologies
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery processes
• Manage application deployments across development, testing, and production environments
• Support containerized workloads and orchestration platforms
• Implement and maintain observability solutions including logging, metrics, and tracing
• Participate in incident response, problem management, and continuous service improvement
• Ensure platform security, compliance, and configuration standards are followed
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development or software engineering
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control concepts
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and automation practices
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar
• Understanding of REST APIs and basic networking concepts (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies
