Software Engineer (React)

Location: Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur
Salary: RM5,000 – RM6,000
Working Days: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Our client is a financial services firm providing personalised wealth management and financial advisory solutions, including insurance, investments, estate planning and retirement strategies.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Work with stakeholders and internal teams to understand business and user requirements.
• Build and improve user-friendly, responsive and high-performing applications.
• Integrate applications with REST APIs, GraphQL and third-party libraries.
• Optimise application speed, performance and usability.
• Participate in technical discussions, meetings and code reviews.
• Write and maintain clean, scalable and well-documented code.
• Work with designs, mock-ups and prototypes to deliver quality user interfaces.
• Ensure consistency with design standards and brand guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, test and debug applications when required.
• Stay updated with relevant technologies and development best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in frontend development.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorisation methods such as OAuth and JWT.
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
• Good understanding of the full web development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Figma or other design/prototyping tools.
• Experience with React Native and Expo is an advantage.
• Knowledge of backend development and SEO is an added advantage.
• Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor or similar tools is preferred.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and continuously improve.

Benefits

• Basic Salary: RM5,000 – RM6,000
