Senior Quantity SurveyorJob Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quantity take-offs, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
• Manage the pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying works.
• Prepare and evaluate tenders, quotations, and subcontractor comparisons.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and contractual claims.
• Prepare and assess variation orders, progress claims, interim valuations, and final accounts.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial matters.
• Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to management.
• Assist in contract negotiation and procurement.
• Ensure all commercial documentation and records are properly maintained.
• Lead and guide junior Quantity Surveyors and other team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of BQ, tendering, costing, contract administration, variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and/or relevant QS software.
• Good negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Able to communicate in three languages: English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
