Software Developer (Full Stack) – Java & Angular

**Location:** Malaysia
**Employment Type:** Full-Time
**Experience:** 2.5–4 Years
**Salary:** RM 5,000–RM 6,000 per month, depending on experience and technical proficiency

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled **Software Developer (Full Stack) – Java & Angular** to join our engineering team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications across both backend and frontend technologies.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, integrating, and maintaining scalable applications using **Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, REST APIs, and relational databases**.

You will work closely with Software Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects, and other stakeholders within an Agile/Scrum environment.

## Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using **Java and Angular**.
* Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using **Java and Spring Boot**.
* Build responsive, reusable, and maintainable frontend applications using **Angular and TypeScript**.
* Integrate Angular applications with REST APIs and third-party services.
* Implement business logic following established architecture, coding standards, and development best practices.
* Design and optimize database queries and work with relational databases.
* Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
* Write unit tests and participate in integration and functional testing.
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving application quality and maintainability.
* Collaborate with QA Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects, and other development teams.
* Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
* Contribute to technical documentation and development standards.
* Support application deployment and production issue resolution when required.

## Must-Have Requirements

### Backend Development

* **2.5–4 years of professional software development experience.**
* Strong hands-on experience with **Java**.
* Strong experience with **Spring Framework / Spring Boot**.
* Solid understanding of **Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)**.
* Experience developing **RESTful APIs**.
* Knowledge of exception handling, logging, and application security.
* Strong experience working with relational databases.
* Good **SQL** development and query-writing skills.

### Frontend Development

* Strong hands-on experience with **Angular**.
* Strong knowledge of **TypeScript**.
* Good understanding of **HTML5 and CSS3**.
* Experience developing component-based user interfaces.
* Experience with Angular forms, routing, services, and state management.
* Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.

### Development Practices

* Experience with **Git or Git-based source control**.
* Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
* Practical experience working in **Agile/Scrum** environments.
* Experience with unit testing and automated testing practices.
* Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

## Good to Have

* Microservices architecture.
* Docker and containerization.
* CI/CD pipelines.
* Microsoft Azure or AWS.
* Kubernetes.
* Kafka or RabbitMQ.
* Automated testing frameworks.
* Enterprise, banking, financial services, or other regulated applications.
* Application performance optimization.
* Application security best practices.

## Education

A **Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline** is preferred.

## Salary & Benefits

* **Salary:** RM 5,000–RM 6,000 per month.
* Final compensation will depend on relevant experience, technical proficiency, interview performance, and overall suitability.
