Job Summary

This role oversees safe, efficient lifting operations across construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and supporting a zero-harm culture within the Health, Safety and Environment management framework.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site to ensure safety and efficiency
• Execute lifting activities strictly according to approved lifting plans and safety procedures
• Conduct thorough pre-lift inspections and safety checks on lifting equipment and accessories before each operation
• Coordinate communication and actions with crane operators, riggers, signalmen, and site personnel during lifting activities
• Monitor work activities continuously to ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations
• Identify potential hazards promptly and implement effective control measures to mitigate risks
• Lead toolbox meetings and deliver clear lifting instructions to workers to ensure understanding and compliance
• Intervene and stop any unsafe lifting operations immediately to prevent accidents
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all lifting activities for accountability and review
• Collaborate closely with site supervisors and project teams to facilitate smooth and coordinated operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Valid WSQ / MOM-recognised Lifting Supervisor certification
• Valid Rigger and Signalman certification
• Valid Manage Work At Height (MWAH) certification
• Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and work instructions accurately
• Familiarity with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and lifting procedures in Singapore

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in scaffolding and mast climbing platform
• Additional Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)-related certifications
