Job Title: Shift Manager (F&B / Retail)

• ​Gurney Plaza, George Town, Penang
• ​Juru R&R (North-South Expressway), Penang

​Employment Type: Full-Time (Shift Basis)

​Role Overview

​We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Shift Manager to lead daily outlet operations at our Gurney Plaza and Juru R&R locations. In this role, you will supervise floor staff, ensure excellent service standards, oversee product quality, and maintain smooth store operations during assigned shifts.

​Key Responsibilities ​Shift Leadership & Daily Operations

• ​Supervise floor and service counter operations to ensure smooth workflow during peak and non-peak hours.
• ​Conduct shift briefings and manage break rotations for floor crew.
• ​Ensure opening, mid-shift handover, and closing checklists are strictly completed.

​Quality, Hygiene & Safety Standards

• ​Enforce brand food handling, hygiene, and cleanliness guidelines (HACCP/Halal compliance where applicable).
• ​Monitor stock levels, handle raw material receiving, and track daily inventory wastage.
• ​Report any equipment malfunctions or outlet maintenance issues promptly for repair.

​Cash & Sales Management

• ​Manage cashiering operations, POS system handling, and end-of-day float balancing/cash drops.
• ​Address and resolve customer inquiries, feedback, or complaints professionally.
• ​Drive daily shift sales targets and support ongoing promotional campaigns.

​People Supervision

• ​Guide, train, and support new crew members during their on-the-job training.
• ​Monitor team attendance, punctuality, and grooming standards.

​Requirements

• ​Minimum SPM, STPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Retail, or related fields.
• ​At least 1 year of supervisory or senior crew experience in F&B, quick-service restaurants (QSR), or retail operations.
• ​Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English proficiency is an added advantage.
• ​Strong leadership, punctuality, and problem-solving skills.
• ​Must be able to work rotational shifts (morning, afternoon/closing), including weekends and public holidays.
• ​Willing to be based at either Gurney Plaza or Juru R&R.
