About the Opportunity

On behalf of our client, an established company with transport operations in Muar, Johor, RIHGA is currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Logistics Coordinator to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating drivers and vehicles, managing time-sensitive transport movements, maintaining accurate operational records and responding effectively to operational disruptions.

This position also offers the successful candidate an opportunity to be groomed towards a managerial position.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport schedules, vehicle allocation, routes, collections and deliveries.
• Arrange and monitor livestock transportation, including day-old chick (DOC) movements.
• Communicate closely with drivers, sales personnel, customers and internal operations teams.
• Monitor trips and resolve operational issues including delays, breakdowns, vehicle defects and last-minute changes.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair requirements.
• Maintain transport records, delivery documentation, daily trackers and operational reports.
• Assist with petty cash recording, receipts and reconciliation.
• Provide timely updates and escalation when transport operations are disrupted.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Around 5 years of relevant logistics or transportation experience.
• Experience coordinating livestock or day-old chick (DOC) transportation would be an advantage.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Practical understanding of vehicle breakdown and maintenance coordination.
• Willing to work outdoors and support weekend/public holiday operations when required.
• Responsible, detail-oriented and comfortable working within a fast-moving operational environment.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
