Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chargeman role based in Kulim. The Chargeman is responsible for overseeing and performing daily maintenance, repair, and operation of building services and heavy equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems, in accordance with regulatory and safety standards. The role involves supervising maintenance teams or contractors, planning and monitoring routine and preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work is documented accurately. The Chargeman will coordinate with facility management, healthcare staff, and vendors to resolve technical issues, support smooth facility operations, and minimize equipment downtime. The position requires adherence to established procedures, participation in inspections and audits, and prompt response to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills to lead and coordinate maintenance teams and contractors.
• Candidates should possess experience with heavy equipment operation and basic mechanical systems relevant to facility and building services.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills to interact with colleagues, healthcare staff, vendors, and regulatory parties.
• Candidates should possess practical carpentry skills useful for minor structural repairs and facility upkeep.
• Candidates should possess maintenance skills for electrical, mechanical, and building systems, including preventive and corrective work.
• Relevant Chargeman certification or license (e.g., appropriate electrical competency certification) is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience in healthcare facilities, hospitals, or similar regulated environments is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong understanding of safety standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance procedures.
• Ability to work on-site in Kulim, respond to emergencies, and perform duties on shifts or weekends as needed.
