about the job

As the Global Programs Underwriting Manager, you will be embarking on an exciting, highly visible greenfield opportunity to establish and build the Global Programs underwriting desk from scratch. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and launching the foundational frameworks, operational processes, and underwriting guidelines for multinational and global insurance programs.
• Driving the end-to-end execution of global program solutions, ensuring seamless cross-border compliance, tax alignment, and regulatory adherence.
• Acting as the primary subject matter expert and technical authority for all global fronting, captive fronting, and multinational commercial P&C risks.
• Collaborating with global network partners, producing offices, brokers, and internal stakeholders to create tailored, compliant multinational structures (Master Policies and Local Admitted policies).
• Strategizing and executing a go-to-market plan to grow the multinational portfolio, continually refining and scaling the global programs infrastructure as the book expands.

about the manager/team

You will report directly to the Regional Head of Commercial Underwriting and act as a pivotal strategic builder within the leadership structure. Because this is a newly created capability, you will initially operate as a highly autonomous, hands-on expert, with the long-term vision of building out and mentoring a dedicated global programs team as the portfolio scales. skills and experience required

• A Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced industry qualifications (such as ACII, CPCU, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of commercial P&C underwriting experience, with a deep, specialized focus on Global Programs, Multinational Accounts, or Fronting arrangements.
• Proven experience or a strong demonstrated capability in building products, operational frameworks, or underwriting desks from scratch is highly advantageous.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of cross-border compliance, international regulatory frameworks, reinsurance mechanisms, and good local/master policy structuring.
• Strong entrepreneurial drive, coupled with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to effectively influence global network partners, brokers, and internal leadership.
