General Responsibilities:

-Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis regarding current tasks, and assist in the planning.

-Ensures all Housekeeping quality standards are complied with and that Policies & Procedures are consistently applied.

-Oversees an inspection program for VIP or vacant clean/inspected rooms.

-Oversees cleaning schedule and maintenance program for the rooms and public areas.

-Ensures all assigned duties are carried out , and that resources are efficiently utilized.

-Act as a communication conduit between management and staff.

-Responsible for the smooth running of daily operations

-Maintain and control use of stock, equipment &consumables.

-Actively promote Health and Safety , and report any breach directly to the Manager.

-Ensure housekeeping standards are met and maintained in all facilities , and report to Manager.

-Manages all external contractors relating to Housekeeping department and ensuring they follow all property policies.

-Manages operating expenses to minimize cost whilst providing excellent guest service.

-Compiles standard operating procedures for all areas of responsibility, ensuring that they are periodically updated

-Timeously request purchase of consumables, equipment and materials.-Monitor and report absenteeism to the Manager.

-Prepare daily duty roasters for approval by the Manager.

-Other duties as assigned.
