Join a leading global financial technology firm as an Electronic Trading Engineer, working at the intersection of trading, risk management and software engineering.
This is a hands-on, coding-intensive role offering the opportunity to take ownership of live trading systems, develop new strategy features and contribute to the evolution of retail order routing as markets move towards 23/5 trading.
Based in Singapore, you'll play a key role in supporting live systems during Asia trading hours, working closely with global teams and helping ensure resilience, performance and effective risk management across markets.
Day-to-day:
- Monitor automated trading and risk infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues in real time and escalating when necessary
- Develop new strategy features and deploy code changes through established review processes
- Design, execute and report on retail routing experiments
- Take ownership of overnight priorities, supporting the transition towards 23/5 trading
- Collaborate with traders and developers across regions to strengthen system resilience and improve production infrastructure
- Build in-depth knowledge of risk systems, order flow and market structure
Experience:
- Prior experience within a financial institution
- Strong Python programming experience
- Experience working with large datasets and SQL
- Knowledge of US equity market structure, including trading venues, smart order routing, order types and trade reporting, is advantageous
- Experience with Java or C++ is a plus
- Statistical analysis experience is beneficial
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to make sound decisions in fast-moving, time-sensitive environments
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and attention-to-detail skills
- A collaborative team player with flexibility around working hours
