Job Summary

You will develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and automated test suites for mobile, web, and backend applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery and continuous improvement in testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing to ensure software quality.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for mobile, web, and backend services to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to define acceptance criteria and ensure testability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify, analyze, and communicate defects; work with engineers to investigate root causes and validate fixes for timely resolution.
• Continuously improve test automation frameworks, test coverage, and quality engineering practices to enhance product reliability.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Participate in feature design and technical discussions to identify quality risks early and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover usability, functional, and edge-case issues that automated tests may miss.
• Define and monitor quality metrics, providing actionable insights to improve product quality and release confidence.
• Champion a quality-first culture by promoting best practices in testing, automation, and continuous improvement across the team.

Required competencies and certifications

• Experience developing and executing test strategies for web, mobile, and backend applications.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Selenium, or equivalent.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and modern software engineering principles.
• Familiarity with defect management, test planning, and release validation processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a systematic approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
