Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) requirements, statutory regulations, and promote a strong safety culture within the Electrical Department.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for all electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimum reliability and plant availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical equipment failures promptly to minimize production downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Monitor the performance and condition of electrical systems, analyze failure trends, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and execute electrical improvement projects, modifications, and energy-saving initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure all electrical installations, maintenance activities, and related documentation comply with company standards, legal requirements, and applicable electrical regulations.
- Prepare and manage maintenance schedules, work orders, spare parts requirements, and maintenance records using the company’s maintenance management system.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and external contractors to ensure maintenance and project activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within the required schedule.
- Support equipment commissioning, testing, calibration (where applicable), and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
- Coach, guide, and provide technical support to technicians and other maintenance personnel to enhance technical competency and work performance.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, 5S practices, and effective utilization of departmental resources.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Plant Reliability Manager or Management from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Electrical) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in power distribution systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, and electrical project execution.
- Good knowledge and experience in electrical power systems, electrical design, protection systems, load calculations, and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledge of Gen-Set systems, air-conditioning systems, and electrical commissioning will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with electrical design software.
- Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
