JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate laser cutting machines according to production plans and work instructions to ensure production targets are met with the required quality and quantity.
• Perform laser cutting operations according to approved work instructions, drawings and production requirements.
• Conduct in-process and self-inspection according to the production inspection checklist to ensure product quality.
• Perform rework on defective or rejected parts as instructed by the supervisor or based on actual production requirements.
• Monitor machine operation and ensure machines are operated safely and properly.
• Understand the basic operating principles and functions of laser cutting machines and perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Identify and report machine abnormalities, quality issues or production problems to the supervisor.
• Provide reasonable suggestions to improve product processing methods, work processes and production efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area in accordance with 5S practices.
• Ensure tools, materials, workpieces and finished products are placed in their designated areas and properly identified.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMETNS:

• Minimum SPM / SKM Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Candidates with a Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, CNC or related technical fields will have an added advantage.
• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience in laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing.
• Experience in operating laser cutting machines is preferred.
• Able to operate laser cutting machines and perform basic machine setup and start-up.
• Able to read and understand 2D technical drawings, basic 3D drawings, SOPs, work instructions and program sheets.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal materials and material identification.
• Able to perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Able to use common hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Able to perform simple and standard parts processing according to drawings and production requirements.
• Basic knowledge of cutting path planning and program adjustment will be an advantage.
• Able to identify and report machine abnormalities, quality issues and laser cutting problems.
• Able to follow 5S practices and maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Experience with Bystronic, TRUMPF or Han’s Laser machines will be an advantage.
• Willing to learn and use the company's internal system for production records and reporting, with training provided.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
