Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Finance and Operations Analyst to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, and financial administration for our management entities. This role offers direct exposure to the corporate operations of a Private Equity firm and a clear path toward senior management accounting or fund accounting roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Payments:
Validate and process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and corporate card transactions. Prepare monthly payment runs via business banking platforms.
Bookkeeping & Period-End Close:
Maintain accurate general ledgers for multiple management entities. Prepare journal entries, including accruals, prepayments and closing schedules as required. Assist in the closing of investment holding entities and in liaison with Fund Administrator on the closing of fund entities.
Related Party Billing and Reconciliations:
Assist in the fund management fee calculation. Perform related party billing, manage and reconcile related party balances and expense recharges across various general partner, fund and management entities.
Cash Management:
Monitor cash flows and perform regular bank reconciliations for operational accounts across various fund and management entities.
Compliance Support:
Assist in the preparation of GST filings, MAS filings, annual tax returns, and statutory audit schedules for the management entities.
Planning and Analysis:
Assist in the planning and analysis of expenses for fund and management entities.
Other Administrative Support:
Assist in coordinating setup of new entities, new bank accounts and other related work as required.
Requirements:
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification.
Experience:
2-3 years of accounting experience. Prior internship or exposure in financial services, or a fund administration firm is highly valued.
Technical Skills:
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with cloud accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) is a strong plus.
