Project Planner (MS Project) – Construction

Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description

We are urgently seeking an experienced Project Planner with strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (MSP) to support the planning and scheduling of a school construction project in Johor Bahru.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules and supporting the project team in ensuring timely completion of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project (MSP).
• Prepare project work programmes, timelines, and activity schedules.
• Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule.
• Identify potential delays, risks, and critical activities.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, site team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to collect project progress updates.
• Update project schedules regularly and prepare progress reports.
• Analyse project delays and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
• Monitor critical paths and key project milestones.
• Assist in preparing recovery programmes when project delays occur.
• Support project management with planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Planner or Planning Engineer in construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (MSP) is mandatory.
• Good understanding of construction sequences, project scheduling, and progress monitoring.
• Experience in building construction projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with project and site teams.
• Ability to work in Johor Bahru on a contract basis until project completion.
• Candidates who are available to join immediately will be given preference.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
