Job description

·      We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support the operation, administration, deployment, and migration of AWS cloud infrastructure.

·      The role will focus on maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable cloud environments, implementing automation, supporting migration activities, and resolving technical issues in accordance with defined service levels. 

Key Responsibilities 

·      Perform daily operations and administration of AWS cloud infrastructure. 

·      Configure and maintain AWS environments to meet performance, security, scalability, availability, and maintainability requirements. 

·      Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, and related tools. 

·      Develop and maintain automated processes for cloud provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational activities.

·       Maintain AWS cloud systems and ensure technical documentation is kept up to date. 

·      Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams on cloud infrastructure operations and administration. 

·      Participate in cloud migration activities, including virtual machine and database migrations. 

·      Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and operational issues and ensure timely resolution in accordance with defined SLAs. 

·      Participate in technical and operational meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

·       Provide technical support for cloud infrastructure implementation and operational activities. 

·      Monitor cloud environments and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, security, and operational efficiency. 

·      Maintain relevant technical certifications and continuously develop cloud and infrastructure skills. 

Qualifications and Requirements 

·      Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 

·      Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in cloud operations, cloud administration, infrastructure deployment, or related areas.

·       Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, administration, and deployment. 

·      Experience in AWS cloud migration projects, including virtual machine and database migrations.

·       Practical experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar automation and infrastructure-as-code tools. 

·      AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification is required. 

·      Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, and operational practices. 

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

·      Good communication and collaboration skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within defined service levels. 

Preferred Qualifications 

·      AWS Specialty certification. AWS DevOps or Database certification. 

·      Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification. 

·      Practical experience with Kubernetes or other containerisation technologies. 

·      Experience with additional DevOps, automation, monitoring, or configuration management tools.
