• Diploma and or Degree in Nursing.
• Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board.
• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Post Basic Certificate in Perioperative Nursing is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Scrub Nurse.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient needs.

• Assess, plan, provide and evaluate nursing care to ensure patient safety and quality care in the Operating Theatre.
• Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining aseptic technique and a sterile environment.
• Prepare the operating theatre, instruments, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures.
• Check medical equipment and devices before use to ensure they are safe and functioning properly.
• Follow hospital SOPs, infection control policies and safety guidelines.
• Monitor and record patients’ conditions and progress throughout the perioperative period.
• Respond promptly to surgical emergencies, including haemorrhage.
• Perform effective clinical handover and provide appropriate patient education and discharge planning.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organisation of the Operating Theatre and equipment.
• Ensure nursing care complies with MOH regulations, MSQH standards, IPSGs/MPSGs and the Nursing Board Malaysia’s Professional Code of Conduct.
