We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Junior Endoscopy Nurse to support the delivery of safe and high-quality nursing care within the Endoscopy Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing patients for endoscopic procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, patient identification and completion of relevant documentation.
• Support doctors and senior nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, instruments and required consumables prior to each procedure.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and general condition before, during and after procedures.
• Provide appropriate nursing care and reassurance to patients throughout their endoscopy journey.
• Assist with patient positioning and maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Support post-procedure monitoring and recovery, including identifying and escalating any changes in the patient's condition.
• Assist with the cleaning, decontamination, disinfection and safe handling of endoscopy equipment in accordance with infection prevention and control requirements.
• Ensure appropriate documentation of nursing observations, procedures and patient care.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse with a valid practising certificate.
• Fresh graduates or nurses with early-career clinical experience may be considered.
• Previous exposure to Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, Operating Theatre, Day Care, Medical or Surgical Nursing will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of basic nursing care, infection control and patient safety.
• Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, responsible and attentive to patient needs.
• Willingness to learn and develop specialised endoscopy nursing competencies.
