Role Description The Pharmacy Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at ADMC in Kuala Lumpur. The individual in this position supports pharmacists in dispensing medications according to prescriptions, preparing and labeling medication, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient medication records, managing pharmacy inventory and stock rotation, and assisting with ordering and receiving pharmaceutical supplies. The role also involves providing courteous customer service to patients and clinical staff, addressing basic medication-related inquiries within scope, and coordinating with nursing and medical teams to ensure timely delivery of medications. The Pharmacy Technician is expected to follow standard operating procedures, uphold regulatory requirements, and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy environment.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to handle prescriptions safely and accurately, including interpreting medication orders and supporting proper dispensing processes.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows, with experience working in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
• Hands-on experience as a pharmacy technician, including medication preparation, labeling, and adherence to relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Proficiency in inventory control, stock management, and ordering procedures to maintain adequate medication and supply levels.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Relevant certificate or diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technology; registration or licensure with appropriate regulatory bodies where required.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
• Basic computer skills and comfort working with electronic health record systems and pharmacy management software.
