Due to expansion, we are hiring 1 additional IT Support for our IT Department.

Job Description:

• Respond to and resolve technical support requests from clients in a timely and efficient manner

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving software and database-related issues promptly and effectively

• Deliver remote and on-site support to address client IT problems

• Troubleshoot and diagnose IT issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software

• Handle IT support tickets and inquiries via email, phone, or ticketing systems, while documenting solutions and resolutions

• Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT tools, applications, and best practices to enhance productivity and technical proficiency

• Collaborate with the IT team on projects, system upgrades, and improvements to enhance overall IT operations

• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field

• 2–3 years of experience in IT Support, with strong L1 support experience and SQL/database administration knowledge.

• Strong experience in MySQL administration, including table creation, indexing, SQL query writing and optimization, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Proficient in software installation, configuration, patching, and deployment

• Experience with remote support tools such as RDP is a plus

• Comfortable using Command Prompt to run ETL scripts and perform operational tasks

• Familiar with IT ticketing systems (e.g. Jira)

• Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation) are an advantage

• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written); Mandarin is an added advantage

• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and participate in on-call rotation

• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript (Node.js) is a plus
