Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Group Financial Controller role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Group Financial Controller oversees group-wide financial reporting, consolidation of accounts, and preparation of financial statements in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Responsibilities include leading budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring cash flow and working capital, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The role manages finance and accounting teams, implements internal controls, and ensures timely month-end and year-end closing. The Group Financial Controller also collaborates with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners, and supports senior leadership with analysis on investments, projects, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, including knowledge of financial principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Reporting and preparation of Financial Statements, including consolidation and compliance with relevant accounting frameworks.
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide clear recommendations to leadership.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in a senior finance or controllership role, preferably within property development, real estate, or investment groups.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial software, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with budgeting and forecasting tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities, with a track record of leading and developing finance teams.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
