Position Overview
Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of solar PV/ESS projects, from initiation and planning through installation, commissioning, and testing, to final delivery. Serves as the central point of coordination between the project owner, EPC contractor, and internal departments (factory, service, quality, logistics), ensuring projects progress according to plan while identifying, tracking, and managing risks and changes throughout execution.
Responsibilities
1. Project Initiation & Planning
- Participate in the project initiation phase, supporting the development of project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Consolidate key information required to kick off the project (contractual requirements, technical specifications, customer expectations), ensuring execution is grounded on a clear foundation
2. Client & EPC Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the project owner and EPC contractor throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate regularly with the owner/EPC on project progress, syncing on stage-by-stage plans and timelines
- Address queries and requests raised by the owner/EPC, coordinating internal resources to respond accordingly
3. Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Coordination
- Liaise with the HQ factory to schedule FAT
- Coordinate the owner/EPC's participation in FAT, including scheduling and related preparations
- Follow up on issues identified during FAT, driving corrective actions through to closure
4. Installation, Commissioning & Testing Oversight
- While on-site installation, commissioning, and testing activities are executed by the Service team, the PM remains responsible for tracking and managing overall progress and milestone achievement during this phase
- Coordinate scheduling alignment between the Service team and the owner/EPC to ensure all parties are synced on-site timelines
- Follow up on issues arising during installation and commissioning, coordinating with the Service team and relevant departments for resolution, while keeping overall project status updated
5. Progress, Risk & Change Management
- Track project progress across all stages to ensure delivery stays on schedule
- Identify risks that may affect project delivery (e.g., production delays, logistics delays, technical issues), flag them proactively, and propose mitigation measures
- Track changes to project scope, plans, or requirements arising during execution, assess their impact on timelines and delivery, and communicate accordingly to relevant stakeholders
- Produce regular project progress reports, keeping both internal stakeholders and clients updated on the latest status
6. Technical & Commercial Discussion Support
- Support the sales team and management in technical and commercial discussions with customers regarding project execution feasibility
- Provide a project-execution perspective during contract-related discussions involving technical clarifications or adjustments to delivery arrangements
7. Project Delivery & Handover
- Coordinate matters related to project delivery, including shipment arrangements and preparation of delivery documentation
- Ensure delivery milestones are met in accordance with contractual requirements
- Upon project acceptance, support a formal handover to the After-Sales/Service team, ensuring project background and key information are fully transferred
8. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with internal factory, quality, logistics, and service teams to drive resolution of project-related issues
- Coordinate resources to keep the project on track
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination/project management, preferably within the solar PV/energy storage or related manufacturing industry
- Strong communication and coordination skills, able to independently liaise with clients and cross-functional teams
- Familiar with basic project management processes, with the ability to identify risks, manage changes, and follow issues through to resolution
- Good English communication skills, able to liaise independently with overseas clients and HQ; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
- Holds a valid driving license and able to accommodate a certain level of travel requirements
