Interior Designer
Modular Design & Build Pte. Ltd. Working Location: Stellar @ Tampines
About the Role
We are looking for an Interior Designer who is passionate about understanding homeowners, developing ideas and turning their vision into practical, well-planned spaces.
At Modular Design & Build, our designers are not expected to simply follow templates. You will work closely with homeowners, project coordinators, suppliers and contractors to develop design solutions that are creative, functional and realistic to build.
Key Responsibilities
Meet homeowners to understand their lifestyle, requirements, preferences and design ideas.
Develop design concepts, mood boards, material selections and space-planning proposals.
Translate homeowners’ ideas into practical and buildable design solutions.
Prepare space plans, furniture layouts, carpentry concepts and design presentations.
Work closely with 3D designers and drafters to prepare visual presentations and drawings.
Recommend suitable materials, finishes, colours, fittings and products according to the design intent and budget.
Prepare and review design specifications before commencement of works.
Coordinate with project coordinators, contractors, suppliers and trades to ensure the design is properly executed on site.
Attend site meetings, measurements and project discussions when required.
Monitor design-related issues during construction and provide practical solutions when changes are required.
Communicate regularly with homeowners and keep them updated on design decisions and progress.
Maintain proper documentation of design selections, drawings, amendments and approvals.
Ensure designs balance aesthetics, functionality, budget, construction requirements and long-term usability.
What We Are Looking For
We welcome fresh graduate or personal with exceptional desgin talent and 3D skills
Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field.
Relevant interior design or renovation experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of space planning, materials, carpentry and residential interiors.
Ability to communicate design ideas clearly to homeowners and project teams.
Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider project team.
Responsible, organised and comfortable handling several projects at different stages.
Good problem-solving skills and willingness to work through practical site constraints.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D software or other relevant design software will be an advantage.
