IT Operations Support Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Operations Support Engineer to provide operational support across Active Directory, endpoint devices, AWS-related coordination and office network equipment.
The role focuses on day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting and coordination with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth and reliable IT services across the organisation.
Note: AWS support is primarily coordination and operational support. Candidates are required to have basic knowledge of AWS but do not need to be highly hands-on with AWS administration.
Key Requirements
- Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory (AD) environments.
- Experience supporting mobile and tablet devices, including Mac, iPhone and Android.
- Basic knowledge of office network equipment and network maintenance support.
- Basic knowledge of AWS operational and infrastructure services.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Active Directory Operations
- Perform user account creation, modification, disablement and deletion.
- Support security group creation, modification, review and decommissioning.
- Process user access requests and permission changes.
- Investigate and resolve AD-related incidents and service requests.
- Support onboarding activities for new Active Directory environments, domains or forests.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams for AD-related changes.
- Maintain and update AD operational procedures and documentation.
2. AWS Operations Support
- Coordinate patch management activities for AWS-hosted systems.
- Track and follow up on patch deployment schedules and maintenance windows.
- Handle AWS-related operational enquiries and service requests.
- Coordinate with application owners, infrastructure teams and vendors to ensure timely patch execution.
- Support incident escalation and communication for AWS operational issues.
- Maintain operational records and reports.
3. Device Configuration & Endpoint Support
- Support the configuration and deployment of Mac devices.
- Configure and support corporate iPhone and Android devices.
- Support enrolment and management of MDM/endpoint management platforms.
- Troubleshoot device configuration issues and user enquiries.
- Support policy deployment, application installation and security configuration.
- Provide device lifecycle support, including provisioning, replacement and decommissioning.
4. Office Network Equipment Maintenance Support
- Support the maintenance and operational coordination of office network equipment, including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls and related network appliances.
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers and internal infrastructure teams for hardware maintenance, replacement, firmware updates and incident resolution.
- Track maintenance schedules, support contract status, warranty coverage and renewal requirements.
- Assist with troubleshooting office network connectivity issues and escalate to the appropriate teams when required.
- Maintain inventory records, configuration documentation and network diagrams.
- Support planned changes and maintenance activities, including maintenance windows and user communications.
Service Expectations
- Incident Response: Provide timely acknowledgement, troubleshooting and resolution support.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate operational procedures, records and documentation.
- Communication: Provide regular updates on tickets and ongoing activities.
- Compliance: Follow company security, IT and operational policies.
- Network Equipment Support: Ensure proper coordination of maintenance activities, incident escalation, contract tracking and documentation.
Requirements
- Local Polytechnic Diploma in IT or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in IT operations or infrastructure support.
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience supporting MacOS, iOS and Android devices in an enterprise environment.
- Basic understanding of AWS operational and infrastructure services.
- Basic knowledge of network equipment such as routers, switches, wireless access points and firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors and service providers.
Pay: $4,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month
