Position: SAP Basis Lead
Project: SAP S/4HANA Implementation

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Lead to lead the technical delivery and operational readiness of a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation. The successful candidate will be a named Key Personnel in the tender and will be responsible for the SAP S/4HANA, HANA and Fiori landscape across implementation, security, resilience and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration and administration of SAP S/4HANA, HANA and Fiori across Dev, QA and Production environments.
• Manage SAP Basis, TMS, system copies, refreshes, upgrades, kernel and Support Package updates.
• Implement HA/DR, backup & recovery, failover testing and performance tuning.
• Manage SAP security hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation and IM8 / client-mandated security standards.
• Support SSO, identity integration, user administration and authorisations.
• Establish monitoring using SAP Solution Manager, Focused Run or equivalent and conduct health checks.
• Support technical architecture, sizing, migration and technical cutover activities.
• Drive operational readiness and handover to the production support team.
• Support on-premise, restricted or air-gapped environments, including offline patching and controlled transport procedures.

Requirements

• 10+ years of SAP Basis experience, including 5+ years as a Basis Lead.
• At least 2 S/4HANA implementations, landscape builds or major administration engagements.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP HANA, HA/DR, backup & recovery, TMS, Fiori, performance tuning and system migrations.
• Experience with SAP security hardening, IM8 or equivalent government/defence standards.
• Experience supporting government, defence, classified, restricted or air-gapped SAP environments is highly preferred.
• Strong technical cutover and operational readiness experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• SAP certification in S/4HANA Administration / HANA / Basis.
• SAP Activate awareness.

Preferred

• Linux / HANA / cloud infrastructure certifications.
• CISSP, ISO 27001 or equivalent security credentials.
• Mandatory Cat 1 Clearance
