Job Title:
Traffic Controller / Dispatcher

Reports To:
Operations Manager / Logistics Supervisor

Role Purpose:
To oversee and coordinate the movement of vehicles, drivers, and cargo, ensuring efficient routing, compliance with safety standards, and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and assign delivery routes based on schedules and cargo requirements.

Monitor vehicle movements using GPS or fleet management systems.

Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, resolve issues, and update delivery statuses.

Liaise with warehouse staff, customers, and security personnel to ensure smooth cargo handling.

Respond promptly to emergencies, delays, or breakdowns with effective solutions.

Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery times, and incidents.

Ensure compliance with company SOPs, traffic laws, and safety regulations.

Report operational challenges and suggest improvements to management.

Requirements

Prior experience in dispatching, traffic control, or logistics coordination preferred.

Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Singapore’s road networks and traffic regulations.

Proficiency in fleet management software or GPS tracking systems.

Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.

Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.

Working Conditions

Office-based with regular communication via phone, radio, or digital platforms.

May require shift work, including weekends or public holidays.

Fast-paced environment with responsibility for multiple vehicles and drivers simultaneously.
