Role Overview

A global company within the commodities and renewable energy sector is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Executive to support its trading operations.

The role will focus on contract drafting, negotiation, contract administration and documentation control, while coordinating closely with Trading, Operations, Finance, Legal and external counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and finalise sales, purchase and voyage-related contracts in line with agreed commercial terms.
  • Support contract negotiations and identify potential contractual, operational and compliance risks.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including execution, amendments, filing, version control and close-out.
  • Coordinate with Trading, Operations, Legal and Finance to ensure contractual terms are correctly implemented.
  • Review trade documentation, including bills of lading, certificates, cargo manifests and survey reports.
  • Resolve documentation discrepancies with counterparties, inspectors and terminals.
  • Support sustainability documentation processes, including Proof of Sustainability and relevant certification requirements.
  • Assist in developing and improving contract management procedures and documentation workflows.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within commodity trading, oil, biofuels, energy or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of commodity contracts, general terms and conditions, Incoterms and trade documentation.
  • Experience managing contracts and operational documentation from execution through to close-out.
  • Familiarity with biofuels sustainability frameworks and documentation would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and risk awareness.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities within tight timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with contract management systems is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
