Role Overview
We are seeking an AVEVA/OSIsoft PI Operations and Support Engineer to provide ongoing support for a production PI environment.
The engineer will be responsible for maintaining system availability, resolving data and connectivity issues, supporting users, and implementing approved configuration changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the availability, health and performance of the PI environment.
- Provide day-to-day support for PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework and PI Vision.
- Monitor PI Interfaces, PI Connectors and PI Buffer Subsystems.
- Investigate stale tags, missing data, incorrect values and communication failures.
- Create and modify PI tags, attributes, templates and calculations.
- Maintain and update PI Vision displays.
- Troubleshoot data flow from connected source systems.
- Manage incidents, service requests and approved configuration changes.
- Maintain system configuration and support documentation.
- Perform routine system health, archive and capacity checks.
- Support system updates, improvements and recovery activities.
- Coordinate complex issues with infrastructure teams, source-system specialists and vendors.
- Provide user support and knowledge transfer.
Key Requirements
- Practical experience supporting AVEVA PI System or OSIsoft PI System.
- Working knowledge of PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI System Management Tools and PI Vision.
- Ability to troubleshoot missing data, stale tags, timestamp problems and incorrect values.
- Experience creating or modifying PI tags and associated metadata.
- Good problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to support both technical teams and business users.
Advantageous Experience
- PI Interfaces, PI Connectors and PI Buffer Subsystem.
- PI AF templates, analyses and Event Frames.
- System monitoring, backup and recovery.
- Data science, data engineering or time-series data analysis.
- Python, SQL, Power BI or other analytics and reporting tools.
- Data-quality assessment, anomaly detection or predictive analytics.
- Experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA or OPC-connected systems.
Candidates with strong PI operational-support experience may be considered even if they have not previously led a major PI database migration.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
