- Meds Technologies Pte Ltd is seeking Technician to operate and maintain SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment to assemble electronic components onto PCBs in compliance with production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. Strong hands-on experience in manual soldering, preferably within semiconductor or electronic assembly environments. The role involves precision soldering of small components with high reliability and quality standards. Candidates with IPC Class 3 certification or equivalent experience will be an added advantage. Experience in semiconductor manual soldering, rework and repair is highly preferred.
- Candidate needs to perform operations under microscope views.
- Set up and operate SMT machines (pick-and-place, reflow oven, screen printer) according to work instructions.
- Load components and verify correct feeder setup.
- Perform first article inspection and ensure proper alignment and soldering quality.
- Conduct visual inspection and AOI checks for quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any defects or process deviations.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on SMT equipment.
- Adhere to SOP, ESD and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Perform precision manual soldering on semiconductor and electronic components.
- Carry out rework, repair, and touch-up activities as required.
- Ensure all work meets quality and reliability standards, preferably IPC Class 3.
- Handle delicate components safely and comply with ESD and cleanroom practices (if applicable).
- Conduct visual inspection and basic quality verification of solder joints.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle small components.
- Good eyesight for visual inspection tasks.
- Overtime work arrangements is required.
Job Requirements
- NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma
- 2 to 3 years hands-on SMT experience
- Troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- IPC standards knowledge
- IPC certification in manual soldering is highly preferred
