Job Description

• Design and analyse structural works for residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, drawings and technical specifications.
• Prepare and review structural drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
• Coordinate structural works with architects, civil engineers, M&E consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings, inspections and technical discussions when required.
• Review shop drawings, method statements and material submissions.
• Monitor construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
• Liaise with local authorities and relevant agencies for technical submissions and approvals.
• Assist in preparing tender documents, cost estimates and progress claims where required.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with applicable Malaysian Standards, JKR requirements and relevant statutory requirements.
• Perform other engineering duties assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant structural engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in structural design and consultancy works is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with structural analysis/design software will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian Standards and structural design practices.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to attend site meetings and inspections when required.
• Candidates with Professional Engineer (PE) registration or on the pathway towards PE are encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.
