Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Kaizen events and structured improvement projects (PDCA / DMAIC) to achieve measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.

• Coach and mentor engineers, supervisors, and Green Belts on Lean and problem-solving methodologies through hands-on application at the production line level.

• Ensure Lean practices are embedded into daily management and decision-making processes.

• Achievement of annual Lean savings target (cost reduction, productivity gains, waste elimination).

• Own and drive CI projects on the shopfloor, maintain a rolling pipeline of improvement actions, and regularly report progress and results to management.

• Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Finance to identify improvement opportunities and implement practical, compliant solutions.

• Drive improvement of key Lean performance indicators such as OEE, cycle time, scrap, defect rate, and line efficiency.

• Lead optimization of assembly and injection moulding processes through root cause analysis, standard work, line balancing, SMED, and visual management.

• Support and lead failure analysis, customer complaints, and CAPA investigations using data-driven and GMP/FCM-compliant solutions.

• Support cost improvement initiatives by identifying waste reduction and efficiency opportunities; track savings and benefits.

• Ensure sustainability of improvements through standardization, documentation, training, and follow-up audits, in compliance with GMP and Food Contact Manufacturing requirements.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior CI / manufacturing / industrial engineers.

• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of working experience in Continuous Improvement, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt Certification

• Experienced in data analysis and problem-solving, with a strong proficiency in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.

• Ability to solve complex problems and make correct and timely decisions.

• Exhibit demonstrated leadership & organizational skills.

• Ability to operate in a virtual, task-driven, detail & results-oriented, multi-cultural, multi-faceted, highly matrix-management environment.

• Willingness to take on new challenges and directions as business environment changes.

• Well-versed in communicating in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin*, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members in China.
