About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Intern / Trainee to join our technical team and gain practical experience in mechanical maintenance, rotating equipment, workshop activities and industrial site operations. The intern will work under the supervision of experienced technicians, supervisors and engineers and will be exposed to actual maintenance and repair activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technicians during installation, dismantling, inspection and maintenance of rotating equipment.

• Assist with pumps, motors, compressors, fans, gearboxes and mixers maintenance activities.

• Learn basic mechanical fitting, assembly and disassembly techniques.

• Assist with equipment alignment using dial gauges, laser alignment tools and other measuring equipment.

• Assist with bearing, mechanical seal, coupling and other component replacement.

• Assist with basic machining, drilling, grinding, polishing and workshop activities.

• Learn how to use basic measuring tools such as vernier caliper, micrometer and dial gauge.

• Assist with hydraulic equipment, hydraulic tools and pressure testing activities under supervision.

• Provide basic support during motor installation and electrical inspection activities under competent personnel.

• Assist with equipment testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.

About you

• Currently pursuing Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Basic understanding of mechanical and engineering principles.

• Willing to learn practical hands-on technical skills.

• Able to work in workshop and industrial site environments.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Responsible, disciplined and safety-conscious.

• Willing to travel to client sites when required.

• Previous workshop or technical experience is an advantage but not required.
