An Assistant Manager in the Property Department manages tenancies and negotiates commercial terms with landlords across the region to ensure timely renewals for KFC. This role identifies new sites for expansion through market analysis and coordinates with internal departments, including Operations, Finance, and Marketing, to resolve all tenancy related matters.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend new sites according to the Market Development Strategy Plan.
• Negotiate rental rates and commercial terms for new sites and existing store renewals.
• Manage the Letter of Offer and Tenancy Agreement process with Legal and Finance teams.
• Formulate rental budgets and provide market research for management approval.
• Lead negotiations for rental reductions and manage property terminations for stores or hostels.
• Handle landlord complaints and maintain professional relationships.
• Manage business licenses, building approvals, and utility applications for new store openings.
• Oversee Own and REIT properties and coordinate HQ maintenance requests.

Qualification Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Real Estate Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail leasing or property management.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to liaise with landlords.
• Ability to interpret tenancy agreements and legal documents.
• Resourceful and result oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will be based in our Kuching office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
