A cook is responsible will supporting daily kitchen operations, food preparation, cooking, catering production, and menu development while ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, menu requirements, and company standards.
- Assist with daily kitchen and central kitchen production operations.
- Support event catering, industrial catering, and food & beverage operations.
- Assist in developing and updating menus together with the relevant division managers.
- Prepare ingredients and ensure proper portion control to maintain food quality and manage costs.
- Monitor food usage, minimize wastage, and support cost-control efforts.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout the kitchen.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure kitchen operations comply with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Keep up with new cooking techniques, ingredients, and food trends.
- Contribute ideas for new dishes, special menus, and improvements to existing menus.
- Work closely with the catering and operations team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude when handling catering requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years or above experience in cooking, catering, restaurant, or F&B operations.
- Experience creating and developing menus from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food preparation practices.
- Food Handling certification is preferred.
- Culinary qualification or certification from a recognized culinary institution is an advantage.
- Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to remain calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
