Job Summary
Manage procurement requisitions and cost control for vessels, ensuring timely delivery and accurate expense recording. Support fleet projects and coordinate supply chain activities to optimize operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Review vessel requisitions and develop procurement plans aligned with company policies
Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
Coordinate with supply chain parties to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Collect and verify feedback from vessels and vendor invoices to confirm job completion
Record and monitor operational expenses (OPEX) to maintain cost accuracy
Assist the manager with procurement and fleet projects, including administrative and operational tasks
Manage internal and external customer expectations through effective communication and service
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in ship management
Fluent in English, both oral and written
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with a positive, proactive attitude
Self-motivated and highly organized with strong attention to detail under pressure
Adaptable to changing priorities and tasks throughout the day or week
Professional appearance and enthusiastic demeanor
