JOB SUMMARY:

Live Nation is opening a new, purpose-built mid-sized live music venue in Singapore with a capacity of 3,000. The venue is designed to host international touring acts, local artists and ancillary content including comedy, community and private-hire events. It will also include secondary performance and activation spaces, together with a public-facing café and bar.

Reporting to the Head of Venue Technology, the Production Manager leads the technical advance, coordination and delivery of shows. The role ensures touring and in-house productions integrate effectively with the venue's audio, lighting, video, LED and wider production infrastructure. This is primarily a technical coordination and management role: the postholder will not routinely operate show consoles, but must be technically hands-on enough to assess requirements, direct troubleshooting and make show-critical decisions.

The role has no permanent direct reports, but will coordinate and supervise freelance technicians and the venue's appointed AV partner on a show-by-show basis. During pre-opening, the Production Manager will support handover from the systems integrator, system familiarisation, documentation and operational readiness across the venue. On-site and on-call coverage will be determined by the technical needs of each event.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-Opening & Venue Readiness

  • Support the Head of Venue Technology and systems integrator through technical system delivery, handover, familiarisation, snagging and operational readiness.
  • Build a practical understanding of technical interfaces across the main hall, secondary performance and activation spaces, front-of-house areas and venue-wide systems.
  • Develop the venue technical pack, advance templates, standard setup sheets, system guides and show-day technical procedures.
  • Help establish working arrangements with the appointed AV partner and a reliable pool of freelance technicians before opening.

Event Advance & Show Delivery

  • Advance shows, working with promoters, touring production managers and technical directors to review riders, plans, schedules and venue compatibility.
  • Provide the Bookings and Event Operations teams with clear, timely advice on technical feasibility, production requirements and any show-specific constraints.
  • Prepare show-specific technical plans covering venue systems, AV partner support, freelance crew requirements, additional rental equipment and production interfaces.
  • Lead technical coordination from load-in through load-out, supervising the AV partner and freelance technicians while maintaining a high standard of artist, promoter and client service.
  • Coordinate live technical response and escalation during events, making clear decisions under pressure to protect show continuity and safe delivery.
  • Monitor compliance with show-specific technical requirements, including venue sound limits, and escalate facilities, public-safety or emergency matters to the Facilities Control Centre and Event Operations teams.
  • Provide on-site or on-call technical coverage according to the complexity and needs of each event, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • Complete concise post-event reports documenting technical issues, resolutions and improvements for future shows.

Technical Systems, CMS & Documentation

  • Maintain strong cross-discipline knowledge of the venue's audio, lighting, video, LED and production infrastructure, with sufficient hands-on capability to verify setups and direct troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate the integration, testing and show-specific configuration of touring equipment with venue systems; specialist operation and routine console duties will normally be delivered by the AV partner or touring crew.
  • Support the venue content management system (CMS), including basic configuration, display routing and technical delivery requirements for venue screens, in coordination with Event Operations and content owners.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, show files, system configurations, setup standards, diagrams and operating procedures.
  • Raise, track and coordinate the resolution of technical faults through the AV partner, systems integrator and relevant venue teams rather than directly owning routine equipment or facilities maintenance.

AV Partner & Freelance Crew Management

  • Act as the primary operational contact for the appointed AV partner, agreeing show support requirements, responsibilities and escalation paths.
  • Brief, coordinate and supervise freelance technicians and supplier personnel; the role has no permanent direct reports.
  • Coordinate show-specific rental requirements, quotations, delivery, on-site support and equipment returns in line with approved budgets and procurement processes.
  • Monitor the quality, reliability and performance of supplier equipment and services, maintaining clear records and addressing recurring issues.
  • Ensure external crews receive appropriate venue inductions, technical information and show-specific briefings before commencing work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least seven years of combined experience in technical production management, live entertainment venues, touring productions or a comparable senior technical role.
  • Proven experience advancing and delivering shows at mid- to large-scale venues, including coordination with touring production teams and external technical suppliers.
  • Strong cross-discipline knowledge of professional audio, stage lighting, video and LED systems, with demonstrable technical depth in at least one area.
  • Ability to interpret technical riders, drawings and system information, translate requirements into practical show plans and resolve technical issues under pressure.
  • Experience coordinating an external AV partner, freelance technical crews, rental suppliers and specialist contractors in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Strong documentation, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Bookings, Event Operations, Facilities and touring teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise multiple events and make clear decisions with limited information.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, public holidays and flexible or on-call hours according to the show schedule.
  • Comfort working in a high-energy, loud live-event environment, including extended periods of standing and moving around technical and production areas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification or formal training in professional audio, lighting, video or live-event technical production.
  • Familiarity with grandMA lighting control systems and professional audio, video-server and LED platforms used in mid-sized venues.
  • Experience with content management systems and video content distribution to venue displays and screens.
  • Experience supporting international touring productions and compatibility across different technical standards and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Singapore regulations, technical codes and electrical safety requirements relevant to entertainment venues.
  • Enthusiasm for live music and entertainment, with a practical commitment to technical excellence and memorable event experiences.
