Must have skills

• Deep expertise in Windows 11 desktop platform design, including architecture, build standards, and engineering principles.

• Proven experience in define engineering standards & frameworks for Desktop engineering.

• Proven experience designing and maintaining enterprise gold images (modular, optimized, and reusable builds)

• Strong capability in end-to-end OS build engineering, including task sequences, Autopilot profiles, and provisioning design

• Experience defining and implementing desktop configuration frameworks and baseline standards (security, performance, usability)

• Windows 11 operating systems & its features include but are not limited to Bit locker etc.

• MS Edge & Enterprise Chrome browser

• Antivirus & other security products

• Basic knowledge on AD, GPO etc.

• Experience in handling both physical & virtualized workstations including VDIs.

• Experience in supporting Print infrastructure.

• Expertise in designing patching and update strategies (deployment rings, pilot groups, rollback planning)

• Application deployment & self-service through SCCM/MECM or similar technologies.

• Experience in handling ITSM tools like ServiceNOW or an equivalent tool in the market.

• Troubleshooting & Problem-solving skills.

• Analytical skills

• Communication skills.

• Documentation skills (Policies & Standards, User guide, Admin guide, SOPs etc)

Good to have skills.

• Expertise in OS deployments through conventional on-Prem deployment tools like SCCM/MECM and cloud deployment using Microsoft autopilot.

• Skilled in application engineering lifecycle — packaging, compatibility testing, rationalization, and deployment design

• Strong knowledge of desktop security-by-design, including hardening baselines, encryption, and secure configuration patterns

• Microsoft Intune & Azure Hybrid AD join.

• Microsoft autopilot.

• IT asset lifecycle management for hardware & software.

• Experience in tools pertaining to Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) & Dynamic Environment Management (DEM).

• Experience in Data leak protection tools.

• Experience in crash dump, mini dump investigations.

• Advanced PowerShell-driven build automation (image creation, configuration drift remediation, deployment orchestration)

• Ability to engineer and continuously improve desktop performance, stability, and user experience at enterprise scale

Nice to have skills

• Experience in supporting End point Detection & Response (EDR) from Desktop engineering perspective.

• Microsoft Defender for Endpoints (AV, DLP & others)

• Experience in supporting virtualized applications & desktops from desktop engineering perspective.

• Experience architecting modern desktop management models (co-management design, transition to cloud-native endpoints)

• Exposure to tools pertaining to Digital Employee Experience (DEX).

• Exposure to AI tools and how it can:

o Benefit users in day-to-day tasks.

o Benefit IT staff in improving the productivity.
