Key Responsibilities
Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage banking transactions.
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Prepare and submit statutory reports, tax schedules, GST/VAT returns (where applicable), and other regulatory filings.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, bankers, and regulatory authorities during audits and statutory reporting.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
Review accounting entries and financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, financial processes, and internal controls.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff where applicable.
Participate in finance-related projects and perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with experience handling a full set of accounts.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
Experience in audit coordination, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
