The Project Manager Hardware Development leads cross functional NPI programs from product definition through manufacturing release and ramp. The role combines project leadership with practical hardware design knowledge.

Working with electrical, mechanical, RF or microwave, FPGA, firmware, software, printed circuit board test, tester development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product teams, you will:

• Own the NPI master plan, including scope, schedule, resources, cost, milestones, dependencies, and release commitments.
• Lead cross functional team members in executing deliverables, resolving barriers, and meeting project milestones.
• Manage key stakeholders through project checkpoints and regular updates covering progress, risks, decisions, and recovery actions.
• Plan prototype, validation, pilot, and production readiness builds; confirm that designs, materials, documentation, fixtures, software, and test coverage are ready.
• Use hardware design experience to support design reviews, hardware bring up, debugging, issue closure, and engineering change control.
• Coordinate printed circuit board test and tester development, including test strategy, fixtures, coverage, software, correlation, and release readiness.
• Drive bill of material, supplier, quality, and manufacturing readiness, including long lead parts, design for manufacture and test, qualification, and production transfer.
• Lead production ramp, monitor yield and early life issues, and ensure corrective actions and lessons learned are closed and applied.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, engineering management, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of hardware development or NPI experience, including at least three years leading projects or programs.
• Hands on design experience in a hardware discipline such as electronic circuits, RF or microwave, FPGA, high speed PCB, instrumentation, or embedded products.
• Knowledge of the hardware NPI life cycle, including design reviews, prototypes, verification, qualification, manufacturing transfer, and production release.
• Ability to lead cross functional teams and manage technical and business stakeholders through changing priorities.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, changes, and executive reporting, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Project Management Professional certification or equivalent formal training in program management.
• Experience with test and measurement, printed circuit board testing, RF or microwave systems, semiconductor, automotive, or industrial electronics.
• Familiarity with product life cycle management, enterprise resource planning, requirements management, and issue tracking systems.
• Experience with global teams, suppliers, and structured hardware NPI processes such as phase-gate and build-readiness reviews.
