About the Role

The ROTV Operator will be responsible for the deployment, operation, flight control, monitoring, and maintenance of the Remotely Operated Tow Vehicle (ROTV) system during offshore survey operations.

The role involves maintaining stable and precise ROTV flight relative to the pipeline while supporting high-precision data acquisition through integrated subsea survey payloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control the ROTV during offshore survey operations.
• Monitor ROTV flight, depth, altitude and positioning during towing.
• Coordinate towing parameters with the vessel bridge and winch operators.
• Assist with ROTV deployment, launch, recovery, mobilization and demobilization.
• Perform routine inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of ROTV equipment.
• Monitor survey sensors and positioning systems to ensure data quality.
• Maintain daily operational, equipment and maintenance records.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, risk assessments and JSA prior to operations.
• Ensure all operations are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the project supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as an ROTV Operator

Hands-on experience with ROTV systems and offshore survey equipment, preferably including:

• Sonardyne SprintNav U
• Sonardyne Ranger 2 Pro + WMS 6+
• Kongsberg M3 MBES
• Teledyne BlueView M900
• C-Tecnics CT3027 IP HD Colour Camera
• CT4011 Subsea Lighting

Relevant offshore/marine safety certifications

Strong understanding of offshore survey operations, subsea equipment and safe deck operations

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per day
