Job Overview

Responsible for monitoring and managing the Building Automation System (BAS) to ensure building systems and equipment are operating efficiently, safely and according to the required building and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the Building Automation System (BAS) and building equipment through the central monitoring system.
• Monitor the operating status and performance of M&E systems, including HVAC, air-conditioning, ventilation and other connected building systems.
• Identify system alarms, abnormalities and equipment issues and coordinate the necessary action.
• Attend to BAS alerts and technical issues and escalate major faults to the relevant technical team or Facilities Manager.
• Monitor temperature, equipment status, schedules and other building parameters through the BAS.
• Support the technical team in troubleshooting building system and equipment issues.
• Assist in monitoring energy consumption and building system performance where required.
• Coordinate with technicians, contractors and specialist vendors for system maintenance, troubleshooting and rectification works.
• Maintain accurate records of BAS alarms, incidents, maintenance activities and system-related issues.
• Assist with scheduled testing, system checks and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure BAS operations are carried out according to site SOPs, safety requirements and client requirements.
• Perform other technical and facilities management duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Building Services, Automation or related field.
• Experience in BAS, BMS, Building Automation, HVAC controls or facilities management is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of building M&E systems, particularly HVAC and control systems.
• Able to monitor system alarms and identify basic operational abnormalities.
• Good troubleshooting, communication and coordination skills.
• Comfortable working in a building/facilities management environment.
• Willing to work on shifts, weekends or public holidays where required.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
