Background

Velmesa, an AI-powered organizational assessment platform, has just soft-launched its portal, with an initial cohort of pioneer users registering and beginning to explore the product. Early feedback shows a clear gap: users need help understanding what to do on each page and at each step of the platform — from signing up through completing an assessment and reviewing results. Rather than dense help articles, Velmesa wants a library of short, video-based tutorials that remove this complexity and make the portal feel self-explanatory.

Purpose of the Role

Create a complete, easy-to-follow library of short video tutorials covering every key page and workflow in the Velmesa portal, produced efficiently using AI video, voice, and editing tools rather than traditional full-crew video production.

Scope of Work

•     Audit the Velmesa portal end-to-end — sign-up and onboarding, dashboard navigation, launching and completing an assessment, viewing results and reports, and account/team settings — to map every step where users need guidance.

•     Storyboard and script a short, focused tutorial for each key page or workflow, breaking multi-step actions into simple, sequential instructions a first-time user can follow without help.

•     Produce each tutorial using AI-assisted tools: AI voiceover or narration, AI avatars or animated screen-walkthroughs, and automated captioning, layered over clean screen-capture footage of the live portal.

•     Keep videos short and single-purpose — targeting roughly 60–120 seconds, one page or one task per video — so users can find the exact clip they need.

•     Organize the finished library by user journey stage (e.g., getting started, running an assessment, reading results) so it can be embedded directly into the portal's onboarding flow or help center.

•     Revise or reshoot tutorials as the portal's interface changes, working closely with the Technology Delivery team to stay current.

•     Incorporate feedback from pioneer users and internal stakeholders to continually simplify and clarify the tutorials.

•   This is a part-time/ contract based role.

Deliverables

•     A first-pass video tutorial library covering all core pages and workflows of the portal at soft-launch, with each video captioned and ready to embed.

•     Editable source/project files for every tutorial, so future updates don't require starting from scratch.

•     A short style guide or template (tone, pacing, visual treatment) so any future tutorials stay consistent with the first batch.

Required Skills & Tools

•     Track record producing instructional, explainer, or onboarding videos.

•     Hands-on fluency with AI video/voice tools (for example: Synthesia, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Descript, or Pictory) combined with screen-recording and editing tools (for example: Camtasia, ScreenFlow, Loom, or CapCut/Premiere).

•     Ability to translate a technical product flow into a simple, non-technical narrative — a strong sense of what to leave out, not only what to include.

•     Comfortable working independently from a live product with light supervision, and asking sharp clarifying questions rather than guessing at intent.

•     Basic instructional design sense: chunking steps, sequencing logically, and managing cognitive load for a first-time user.

Nice to Have

•     Experience with SaaS, HR-tech, or assessment/survey platforms.

•     Experience captioning or localizing videos for multiple languages.

•     A portfolio of similar short-form tutorial or micro-learning libraries.
