Manager/ Assistant Manager, Data Management & Modeling (for Banking Industry)

Responsibilities:
- Lead data modelling and data management activities to support enterprise data transformation and customer data management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and technology requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data structures, data models, mappings, and data design specifications.
- Lead the design and enhancement of Enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH) and Data Platform solutions.
- Define data standards, governance practices, and data management frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across systems.
- Perform data analysis, data profiling, lineage assessment, and impact analysis to support transformation initiatives.
- Design and manage source-to-target mappings, data integration requirements, and data migration activities.
- Support project planning, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination for data-related workstreams.
- Prepare and maintain project artefacts, including business requirement documents, data dictionaries, data models, mapping specifications, process flows, and governance documentation.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on data architecture, modelling strategy, and best practices.
- Ensure successful delivery of data solutions through implementation, testing, and post-deployment support.
- Work independently while managing multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deliverables in a fast-paced project environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with experience supporting regional or global transformation initiatives.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Management, Data Analysis, and Data Modelling, preferably within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience in Data Governance, including Data Quality Management, Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Data Standards, and Data Lineage.
- Strong business analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, impact assessment, process analysis, and UAT support.
- Advanced SQL expertise with the ability to analyze, validate, and reconcile large and complex datasets.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Mapping, Data Profiling, and Data Discovery.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data structures, business processes, and end-to-end data flows across multiple systems.
- Experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models and translating business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively across Business, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams.
- Hands-on and delivery-focused, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive workstreams with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Python, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Agile/Scrum methodologies will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
