We seek a detail-oriented Sub-Editor / Writer to refine content, ensure editorial accuracy, and enhance readability across print and digital platforms, shaping impactful narratives for the community.

Responsibilities

• Edit and refine content to improve clarity, coherence, and accuracy for print and digital publications
• Design engaging page layouts for print and adapt content effectively for digital platforms
• Fact-check stories to ensure accuracy and maintain consistency in grammar, style, and tone
• Collaborate with writers, photographers, and stakeholders to produce cohesive and compelling content
• Optimize digital content using SEO best practices to increase online reach and engagement
• Support and implement content strategies to strengthen Jamiyah’s online and print presence
• Manage publication schedules to ensure all materials meet deadlines and editorial standards

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Journalism, Communications, Arts, or Social Sciences
• Strong command of English writing skills to produce clear and professional scholarly content
• Experience in editing, writing, or journalism
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Passion for community issues and global affairs
• Knowledge of SEO, digital media, and basic multimedia content creation
