You will be part of an agile engineering team, owning platform automation and reliability, designing scalable solutions, and mentoring junior engineers.
You should be comfortable working end‑to‑end: from architecture and automation to operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Own and operate Unix platforms (IBM AIX on Power & Oracle Solaris on SPARC/x86) for business‑critical applications.
- Design, build and maintain automation using Ansible Automation Platform and Infrastructure-as-Code / Everything-as-Code practices.
- Develop scalable, maintainable automation and tooling using Python, Perl, shell and jinja2 templates.

- Plan, deploy, patch and upgrade AIX and Solaris servers in production, ensuring stability and performance.
- Provide 2nd- and 3rd-level support for Unix platforms; perform health checks, troubleshoot incidents and drive root‑cause fixes.
- Administer OS‑side storage: SAN, volume management, RAID and multipathing; manage ZFS on Solaris.
- Handle identity & access management (LDAP, Kerberos, IAM) and security topics (SIEM, security patching, PAM), ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery:
- IBM PowerHA on AIX
- Oracle Solaris Cluster on Solaris
- Configure and manage:
- AIX: LPARs, Micro‑Partitioning, Virtual I/O Server (VIO), Network Installation Management (NIM), packaging and release.
- Solaris: Solaris 11 native Zones, Kernel Zones, Solaris 10 Branded Zones, Solaris IPS packaging and release.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical consulting and ensure regulatory/audit needs are met.
- Support server migration, consolidation and modernization projects and keep system documentation up to date.
- Contribute to agile quality assurance and risk management within a cross‑functional, agile team.
- Share knowledge via demos and showcases, and mentor junior engineers.
