岗位职责

  • Provide targeted support for students with special educational needs through individual, small-group, and where required, classroom-based support.
  • Support students who require help with executive function skills such as organisation, planning, prioritisation, task initiation, time management, self-monitoring, and follow-through.
  • Help students develop routines and strategies to manage assignments, deadlines, materials, and transitions across subjects and school settings.
  • Identify, profile, and monitor students requiring SEN support, and coordinate support plans, accommodations, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain clear documentation of student needs, interventions, progress, and next steps.
  • Work with teachers to recommend practical strategies, accommodations, and differentiated approaches for students with SEN and related support needs.
  • Communicate and work closely with parents, and liaise with relevant external professionals and agencies where appropriate.
  • Support students in building confidence, self-advocacy, positive peer interaction, and increasing independence.
  • Contribute to school processes and practices that promote inclusion and accessibility for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Serve as a member of the school’s SEN Committee and Student Well-Being Committee, and contribute to coordinated school-wide efforts to support student development, inclusion, and well-being.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in special education, psychology, counselling, social work, education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents with special educational needs, preferably in a school or youth setting.
  • Good understanding of diverse learning needs and practical support strategies in a mainstream educational environment.
  • Ability to support students in areas such as organisation, planning, self-management, behaviour, and school adjustment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, stakeholder engagements and documentation skills.
  • Empathy, professionalism, sound judgement, and a student-centred approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary school team.
