IT Support Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical support, maintaining and optimising IT infrastructure, enhancing network performance, and supporting cybersecurity initiatives to ensure reliable and efficient business operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain our current equipment (Cisco routers / Switches / ASA/ Mobility Solutions / Unified Communications / Data Center System).
- Remote lab setup, support, and troubleshooting for classes/customers.
- Secure our network by enforcing policies and access restrictions.
- Provide technical support and ensure the lab infrastructure is well integrated, properly configured, tested, secured, and available for service.
- Optimize network performance to improve our customer experience.
- Constantly update technical knowledge by reading the latest publications posted by our vendors, attending training, and acquiring certifications when required.
- Manage Microsoft 365 administration, including user accounts, permissions, and security policies to ensure that communication and cooperation run smoothly.
- Manage user licenses for CRM and Co-pilot accounts.
- Research and recommend technology improvements or tools that can enhance productivity.
- Support cybersecurity best practices, data backup, and software updates.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
- Diploma / Degree in IT, Computer Studies, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year working experience in the networking field. CCNA Certificate or higher.
- In-depth understanding of Cisco routing and switching technologies will be an added advantage.
- Ability to identify network or systems issues and to provide prompt resolutions for customers.
- Document and escalate issues when necessary to identify permanent solutions for recurring problems.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2008/2012/2016) and other open-source operating systems will be an added advantage.
- Ability to set up AD / DNS / NTP / DHCP in a Windows Server environment.
- Team player with a pleasant personality.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and multitask effectively.
- Meticulous, proactive, responsible, and willing to learn.
- Able to work under pressure.
Pay: $3,200.00 - $3,800.00 per month
