Job Summary

The System Engineer is responsible in the following: - Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure - Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools - Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. - Create and maintain jobs in EFT application. - Perform health checks for jobs after monthly infra maintenance. Responsibilities | CORE - Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure - Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools - Perform system patching, application deployment and reporting. - Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability - Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes - Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies - Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks - Perform SLIFT key/ SFTP Password/ SSL and RDP Cert changes. - Maintain the list of software inventory.

Qualifications Essential Qualifications

- At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, IT or equivalent. - At least 2 years of working experience in Information Technology. - Good knowledge of file transfer and security technologies, such as SFTP, file encryption etc. - Good knowledge of Java Web Application development, JEE frameworks. - Knowledge of COTS and tools listed for EAI-MFT. - Knowledge of XML, Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL query language. - Knowledge of Windows administration, scripting and UNIX/LINUX cron. Preferred Attributes - Have strong interest in investigating and identifying causes of issues, and able to propose solutions to rectify the issue. - Good writing and verbal communication skills. - Good team player, responsible and conscientious. - Resourceful, independent, responsive and pro-active. - Initiative and strong commitment to results and quality standards - Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills - Self-motivated with positive attitude and high energy - Customer-focused with strong service orientation
